Kennedy Nolan Architects transformed the existing building into a dormitory for the family, while a new living pavilion runs hard against the long southern boundary. This maximises sunlight and creates a connection to the garden. White paint is used extensively, covering a range of textures and materials, both new and old. Visually, the white wash unifies old and new into one functional and light-filled space.

What I’m going to miss about our forever home
As moving date has come and passed it has given me a moment to reflect on the beauty that we created at James St, a home that we loved, was uniquely ours and that we didn’t really intend to sell – until we did.
So after much debate (within my own mind of course- I tell ya, the Gemini in me was going berserk!), I’ve finally selected the gorgeous Master Bedroom at Bayview House as my favourite room!

We have now almost completed our ‘take off’, and the tender process has officially commenced with leading trades and contractors!
