Cliff Street, Brunswick

Rebeka is currently renovating her Brunswick home alongside her two children, Liam (25) and Ben (22).

The renovation involves a complete rework of the floorplan to create a more functional and inviting space. Previously, the house lacked a proper living and dining area, and the small kitchen in the lean-to was impractical, especially for the young tenants in their early 20s, necessitating a full overhaul.

 

 

Working with off-the-shelf products and predominately modular products, this home will be fun and exciting, but also a highly functional floorplan.

James Street, Northcote

Rebeka and John were looking to create a family home which they could live with their family. This house was more about an exploration of things that they loved than following a specific design brief. The James Street house is Rebeka’s ‘forever’ home. The house that sheand John had dreamt of creating. They started with a blank slate, but a lotof hopes and dreams. Like most people that are building there are somany different styles and finishes that they loved, but they needed tonarrow down the inspiration to a theme!

Carrajeng Estate is a lovely country winery, the intent is to update the restaurant and short-term holiday homes to a luxury stay. Rebeka, John and Adrian and Ivy (one of the DevelopHers) purchased Carrajung Estate with the goal of taking the beautiful 100 acre property in South Gippsland and turning it into a destination.

Clarke St Terraces – a Joint Venture

Recently our Joint Venture at 180 – 184 Clarke St Northcote has hit the market. It’s been an incredibly exciting (and scary) couple of weeks. Pulling together the right JV team, finding the best consultants to work with, developing council approved plans for this challenging site and getting 3 amazing opportunities to market has been quite a ride! Here’s how we got to today.

A Wash of White Unifies Old and New

Kennedy Nolan Architects transformed the existing building into a dormitory for the family, while a new living pavilion runs hard against the long southern boundary. This maximises sunlight and creates a connection to the garden. White paint is used extensively, covering a range of textures and materials, both new and old. Visually, the white wash unifies old and new into one functional and light-filled space.

A BuildHer Building Tale with Sarah Wood

Build Like a BuildHer, Masterclass student and Colour Consultant Sarah of Sarah Wood Designs (find her on Facebook HERE) was always destined to be a creator. Growing up with a builder for a father, the family were constantly purchasing new blocks in the neighbourhood, building new houses, moving, and repeating.

To create a dual occupancy project that was both striking and timeless. As one of our DevelopHers, we knew Amy and her project before working on the interior selections. Amy had a strong vision for this Coburg project, aiming to add a bit of flair and a point of difference to the interiors of her side by side development. Amy was a dream client with a strong vision and we were able to work with her to create a playful project that both had mass appeal and also was a little different and fun, inline with the demographics buying into this area at this price point.
