A lovely family home in Surrey Hills, the brief was to create a contemporary minimalist design that had warmth and texture and could be a great classic base.
Caitlin is Rebeka’s favorite (and only) sister. We worked with Caitlin to create an amazing space that could cater for her family which includes two growing boys!
The finishes needed to be timeless and indestructible, which led to the concrete polished floor base in the living room and engineered boards through the existing home. We love designing the finishes with an understanding of the floor finishes first, it allows us to layer and complement, building up the texture and materials from this point onwards.
Budget was high on the agenda (it is for most clients), so we worked with Caitlin to design a Haven Kitchens off the shelf kitchen, which could be customized with beautiful marble benchtops that we selected with Caitlin at Signorino Stone.
Caitlin likes a more traditional style which complements the original Edwardian home. Wanting a warm tonal classic home with focusing on layering in textures with finger tiles and terrazzo flooring.
Caitlin ran her project in the Blended BuildHer model, working with James from Loxton Built along the way, preferring to order many of the finishing materials herself. This style of project can work well with great communication and trust.
