EP41: Painless Working Relationships With Tradies With Kate Muldoon From Ladies With Tradies

DO YOU HAVE A GOOD WORKING RELATIONSHIP WITH YOUR TRADIES?

Today I’m chatting with Kate Muldoon from Ladies with Tradies – a coaching business that helps tradie couples with the tools to stop shit hitting the fan and achieve all their goals in love, life and business.

IN THIS PODCAST WE ARE TALKING ABOUT

Through coaching, seminars and workshops, Ladies with Tradies offers holistic education, training and support to reduce regrets and stress in business.

We love what Kate’s doing with Ladies with Tradies, because more organised trade businesses not only help the tradie but the person utilising the service, like us!

In this conversation, Kate gives us a behind the scenes look at how trades businesses often work (lots of time on the tools, very little time on the computer) and how she’s working to change this. Her concept – Good Bloke Syndrome (GDS) helps explain why it’s so common for your tradesperson to overpromise and underdeliver. Often, tradies want to do the best and please everyone, but this leaves them falling short as they have unrealistic expectations of what can get done.

Kate shares her three top tips on managing the working relationship with tradies including checking out their reputation and financial management to ensure they’re trustworthy, establishing communication lines upfront and asking about the plans they put in place to ensure projects get completed.

To succeed in our projects, we need to have a great team, working relationships, clear expectations, and certainty. Kate helps to shine a light on the most common problems we encounter on building sites and how to navigate these. You’re going to love this one!
