Today we chat with Kirsty Ristevski – interior designer, creative director of Furnishd and developer.
Kirsty’s most recent project is one of those unique, interesting homes that you don’t come across all time. We explore how she turned a commercial property into a fun family home.

Initially, Kirsty and her husband planned to turn the property into a boutique hotel. However, it was conveniently located across the road from their boy’s school and, despite being a dog’s breakfast, it was interesting.
Kirsty Ristevski certainly has the ability to see what other people may not see in properties. We learn about how she and her husband secured the property via a letter drop, the backstory behind the living room’s massive marble mosaic wall, and the bar that is actually a kitchen!
This conversation is a great reminder of what can come from openness and being willing to experiment. Kirsty shares how liberating it was to take on a project just for themselves and the joy that comes from doing something for fun, without getting too precious about it all.
