In our Build Like a BuildHer program, we teach you everything you need to know about the process of building your dream home through 11 exciting modules of video content, and accompanied by all of the templates, checklists and guides you could possibly need.
From start to finish, we take you through the processes of building a home the right way, and without the mistakes that will eat into your budget. You get to learn from our collective experience!

I THINK LIKE A DESIGNHER! The journey begins! Module One takes you through the different ways to curate your ideas and how to develop and articulate your own unique style. You’ll learn about the philosophy of design and how to better document and map out your unique vision.
I SEE MY VISION AND CAN COMMUNICATE IT! In this module, it’s all about getting your vision out of your head and communicating in a way that leaves nothing to interpretation and everything accounted for. This is often an overlooked part of the process and can cost you thousands lost to miscommunication, back and forth with suppliers, incorrect measurements and forgotten KEY elements that account for the space and joinery.
I CAN SEE A RAINBOW! Welcome to the fun of colour theory and psychology. Learn how different colours make us feel, how to work colours together and how to create your own signature palette. Dive into materials and learn how to think about buildability, how to test materials for durability and longevity and how to deal with wastage – a huge contributor to budget blowout.
I SEE THE LIGHT! It’s all about light theory in Module 4. We’ll cover the types of lighting and how to map out and plan the lighting for your space. You’ll also learn how to communicate what you want and when in the process to start thinking about lighting to showcase different areas of the space you are creating. We’ll show you how to leverage and maximise natural light to change the look and feel and even perceived size of a room and how to focus attention on specific furnishings or collections by directing light toward them.
MY DREAM INTERIOR WITHIN MY BUDGET! This is where the rubber really hits the road with access to our own private Little Black Book of suppliers and trade discounts. We’ll have you documenting your plans like a pro in no time so you can create timeless spaces without the budget blowout. We’ll teach you how to program your plans with digital tools and take your through costing templates step by step to help you save every single step of the way.
ADDING THE FINISHING TOUCHES! You’ve built the structure, lit your space and now it’s time to furnish! Our industry experts will take you step-by-step through artwork curation and selection, furniture choices based on scale, size and room orientation. We’ll even show you how to style your shelves to show off that curated collection you’ve created in the chicest possible way.
