TURNS OUT NOT EVERYONE LOVES TO RENOVATE – SHOCKING RIGHT?
We all think that renovating is the Australian dream. But is it really?
Renovating doesn’t happen quickly. It takes a lot of hard work, money and time, all of which are precious resources. If you’re considering a renovation, you need to be realistic about how much time you have and how you want to spend it.
NOT A RENOVATOR!
In this episode, Rebeka chats with Paula Beavis from Jellis Craig Real Estate about her experience living in a home that she planned to renovate one day. She got as far as installing a split system and then called it…renovating was not for her!
Rebeka and Paula chat about the pros and cons of renovating versus buying a home where someone else has done the hard work. They talk about the sacrifices you make when living in an unrenovated home and how small design decisions make such a huge impact on the way you live on a daily basis. It’s about creating those moments and freeing yourself to live in a space that you love. Doesn’t that sound nice!
Renovating might be a dream for some, but it’s certainly not for everyone. You don’t always have to do everything. There are plenty of builders, designers and stylists out there ready to take the load so you can spend your time the way you want to.
