It feels like change is in the air. There's no doubt that as Australians we have a great love of the large family home, however it seems that now a movement towards a tiny home is growing. With property prices soaring and many people feeling that they will never be able to enter the market, is now the time to consider building a tiny house? Building a tiny house... that's the question to ponder this week on Building with Builder!

IS THERE A BETTER WAY TO LIVE?

Do you feel like being busy runs your life? It can be overwhelming when there’s just so much stuff. If you’ve ever wondered if there’s a better way to live more in line with your values, we’ve got a really special episode for you today.

BUILDING A TINY HOUSE

On the podcast today, Rebeka is joined by the lovely Marnie Prowse from Tiny Haus. Having worked in the corporate world for sixteen years and struggling to live up to the expectations of everyone around her, Marnie had a breakdown, or rather a breakthrough. Marnie realised that she wasn’t living the life she wanted to and began the process of simplifying her life.

In this episode, Marnie talks about her journey of downsizing and how she and her husband came to the decision that they didn’t need their three-bedroom house and it was time to go tiny. Marnie talks about her 32 square metre home and how she found a sense of peace and fulfilment in her new downsized life.

Marnie now works as a Simplicity Coach, helping others to declutter, slow down, and reassess their values to live in alignment. In this episode, we dive into Marnie’s journey, her shift to a tiny house, and the lessons she learned along the way.  Marnie also shares some great tips for how you can focus on designing your life around your values.
